Rocco Basile Honored at RCS Gala; $20,000 Raised
Basile Builders CEO Rocco Basile received an award at the Reaching-Out Community Services (RCS) 3rd Annual Dinner Gala on April 28th, 2011. The organization offers relief to over 3,800 families through the efforts of supplying food and other social services. The gala successfully raised $20,000 to help feed those in need.

Rocco Basile’s Charity Children of the City Celebrates 30 Years
Children of the City recently celebrated their 30th year successfully serving the children and families of Southwest Brooklyn. Poverty continues to subject many children to delinquency, learning disabilities and abuse, so Children of the City has increased the number of programs and mentors dedicated to educate and support families.
D.C. Promise Neighborhood Wins Grant for Half a Million
An initiative called The D.C. Promise Neighborhood won a $500,000 federal grant. A true community effort, much like my charity in Brooklyn, NY, www.childrenofthecity.org, this group pulled together more than just a coalition of nonprofits to push the project forward. The plan won the attention of reviewers because it drew upon a diverse group of businesses, charities, individuals, city agencies and businesses in one community.
